Welcome to Central Radio Car Club

Central Radio Car Club meets at Woodrush Community High School, in Hollywood, Birmingham. The club has, in the past, hosted many National events, but now concentrates on providing good fun club racing with a friendly and convivial meeting place, old and young alike. Race meetings are held on Friday evenings. Latest booking in is at 18:55 hrs, with racing starting at 19:00hrs.
The clubs facility is indoors, racing on Prima Track GT carpet 15M x 12M. We have an  AMB rc timing system and RC Timing software, enabling the use of Personal Transponders.

We currently run classes for 1/12th GT and LMP electric scale  cars on foam tyres.

We have a GT 12 club car available for anyone who is interested in racing, to try. Just use the email link at the bottom of this page to notify the club if you would like to come along and have a go. Notice is required for use of the club car.

LMP 1/12th electric circuit cars on foam tyres race for 8 minutes and are possible the fastest indoor electric car.

GT 12 cars on foam tyres are an ideal introduction to r/c racing as they are easier to setup and control.

Schumacher and Zen are popular cars.

If you would like to try racing a GT12 before you buy, just use the email link at the bottom of this page to notify the club or pop in any Friday night if you would like to come along and have a go.

A championship is run during the year, to BRCA standard class rules, with a trophy engraved with the winners name to be held by the winner of the LMP class, and trophies for first, second and third in GT 12. The best 10 results of 14 rounds to count.

We are now on our summer break. Racing re-starts 7th September.
